About Us

Running Deer provides access to training, volunteering, life skills opportunities and work experience in traditional and rural skills, bushcraft and survival skills, woodland management and forestry, and related activities.

Butterdon Wood

The home of Running Deer, Butterdon Wood was part of the Fingle Wood Estate until we purchased it in 2013. As we remove the Larch and replant to native broadleaf trees it will become a community woodland for everyone to enjoy.
